Steve’s presence there would have stopped Hydra’s Red Room and several big disasters before they happened, which lets technology advance without obstacles. That’s how Doom loses everything, and it’s also how the Fantastic Four end up in space and gain cosmic powers.
It might look like Loki’s mistake, but I think it could be a fail-safe. If Doom’s tragedy pushes him to deal with the Kang problem and the multiverse collapse his own way, that buys Reed Richards, who belongs to this universe, enough time to fix the collapse. In other words, Loki may have created a villain and the savior for the same problem at once. That’s my theory, not confirmed fact, but the scene supports it well.

This one mattered narratively, because we needed answers about certain heroes and we needed to understand Doom’s level of power.
We see Bruce Banner inside a highly classified facility. The last time I saw him, a Hulk rampage had sent him away for evaluation. Here he’s recording a video log. He says nearly a decade had passed without a Hulk incident, but since one has now happened, he spoke with the Joint Defense Services and locked himself into a self-containment unit inside a military compound, deep underground, so the Hulk can’t get out and no one can get in.
He explains that he’s been working on a new gamma experiment, a stable mechanism to keep the Hulk suppressed, and every test so far has been positive. If he already has Franklin’s powers, the Doom we’re about to meet is operating at an overkill level, which fits him stopping Stormbreaker with his fingers. The next extra scene takes symbolism to another level. We hear hammer beats, the sound of someone forging metal, and a familiar iconic score plays. Only this time the person is different. The hammering isn’t Tony Stark building his armor. It’s Doom casting his own mask.
That’s a full-circle moment. The same sound started an era in a cave with Tony hammering his first suit, and now it’s ending one with Doom doing the same. Call it Tony Stark’s ultimate fate or the ego that comes with that face, but the face that saved the universe with the Infinity Gauntlet snap could be the face that ends the multiverse. Same task, different mask, and that prophecy seems to be completing right here.
Endgame Encore End Credit Scene Explained: TVA Panic
This last scene is where Doomsday truly begins. We see Mobius arriving at the TVA for what looks like an ordinary office day, with Miss Minutes talking about the vastness of the multiverse and her line about staying in your own universe. A photo on the wall reads Loki, Employee of All Time, which fits, since Loki saved the multiverse and the TVA stands because of him.
On the screen above Mobius, the multiverse looks like a tree trunk with branches. Then another technician reports the same thing happening elsewhere. Mobius calls it a glitch and orders a mainframe reset, but another incursion registers, and the first two universes have already collided and been destroyed.
Then he notices each strand representing a separate universe is disappearing. In moments, the count goes from 20 to 100 to 300 to 3,000 universes gone. Ob says it plainly: the multiverse is collapsing.
What Is An Incursion?
When one being moves between universes and interferes, the two universes start closing in on each other. Eventually their Earths, which are the incursion points, collide, and both universes are destroyed. The only way to stop it is to destroy one Earth so the other and both universes survive, though another Earth may come along afterward.
Each incursion also shrinks the multiverse, reducing the distance between other universes and triggering more incursions, like a chain reaction until nothing is left. That’s why the numbers jumped so fast.
We also saw an incursion between Earth-7355 and Earth-8550, and I don’t have any information on either. I did see a list of Earth names circulating online before watching, but it didn’t appear in the scenes I saw, so I’m not treating it as real.

Put together, the Encore scenes give Doomsday a very clear shape. Loki’s intervention plants the seed of Doom’s tragedy.
